Still unhappy after 8-0 victory

For those who failed to witness the marvellous display of attacking football, produced by my boys in red, they would have been impressed of the fluedity and movement in last nights Champions League beat down against Besiktas. For those familar with this blog, I wrote an article earlier cussing Benitez, his tactics and constant rotation of the players.

To all my Gooner friends out there, I'd be the first to admit, this result does not compare to with Arsenal's exhibition in demolishing Slavia Prague, 7-0 a few weeks back. Last night we were clinical, which has been missing all season and took our chances for a change. Against a team like Milan, the scoreline could easily have been the other way around. I hold my hands up and will say at this point Arsenal are playing the much better football as well as Chelsea. But these two clubs, do not have the history, the pedigree, the championships or the european cups that are held in a huge trophy room, back at Anfield. If you go to Greece and ask someone who played up front for Chelsea in 1975, you would most probable be met with, were Chelsea formed at that time? Everyone knows who Kevin Keegan and King Kenny are. But you'll be hard pressed on the continent to find people who are aware of '80's 'Huggy bear hair style twins Adebayor and Drogba. (someone have a word)

Last night's win does not conclude that Liverpool will escape from this group into the knock-out stages. This has still to be decided with the next two fixtures, against Porto and Marseille, where I will be on December 11th at the Velodrome and should Benitez slip up on that occassion, expect this blog to be shut down, and to see me in Guantanamo protesting my innocence. Where is the consistency Rafa? Did you read my blog to play Benayoun and Babel? Has Jermaine Pennent been sold to Coventry or back to Birmigham? If not why not? Why did someone at the club reveal Riise wage slip to the world? And why is he paid so little for a player who has been to two champions league finals in three years? Disgrace (more about this Risse's dilema later in the week)

It will be interesting to see the team Rafa puts out against Fulham on Saturday. Still not a happy chappy.
